13 February 08: History is Made!

On the 13'th of February 2008, whilst refueling off Madagascar, a French Navy Delphin Helicopter touched down on the helidec of SEDCO 702. A historic day - as it was the first helicopter to land and take off on the rig, after it was refurbished in Singapore. Good thing too, that just the previous Saturday, helicopter handling drills were practised on this weekly training day. Immagine all that fuel and whirling bits - the dammage it can cause if things go awry. But it didn't - everything went fine - and out pasient was safely flown to Mayotte Island.
